Graveside memorial services for Jimmy Lassen, 63, of Longview, will be 2 p.m. Thursday, February 19, 2009, in White Cemetery with Dr. Charles Barham officiating. Mr. Lassen passed away Saturday, February 14, 2009,
in Tyler.He was born May 17, 1945, in Childress, Texas. After graduating from Childress High School, he attended West Texas State University and later moved to Dallas where he worked for Mobil Oil Corp and Texas Instruments. He later moved to North Carolina for many years and drove for United Van Lines, moving electronic equipment around the U.S. He has lived in Longview for about the last 18 years and working at Bemis Manufacturing Co.He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Ernestine Lassen. Jimmy is survived by his brothers, Don Lassen and wife Donna of Plano and David Lassen and wife Cindy of Longview, and numerous nieces and nephews.In lieu of flowers, donations can be made "In Memory Of" to Hospice of East Texas at 4111 University Blvd, Tyler, TX 75701.
